Seeking a NYS licensed R.N. to provide services on an interdisciplinary team serving 75 adults with serious mental illness in the PROS program located in the Bronx and outpatient clinic, one located in the Bronx and the other located in Manhattan. RN’s job responsibilities include conducting blood draws for Hepatitis B testing, administer injectable psychotropic medication (IM’s), conducting health assessments, manage antipsychotics (Clozaril), providing on call consultations and recommendations, providing educational resources for HIV and Hepatitis B, implementing REMs program, communicating with primary care doctors, and must be able to run groups that include diabetes education, nutrition and weight management, and smoking cessation.
Must be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills and be able to document in an electronic health record. Must have an active registered NY State RN License, Must be Medicare certified , and available 4x a month, 9am- 5pm. Preferred candidate has experience working in an outpatient setting, experience working with individuals in treatment for substance use disorder, and effective crisis management and response skills. Spanish speaking a plus.
